Clerk of Superior and State Courts
The Troup County Clerk of Superior and State Courts is responsible for maintaining, safeguarding and storing all Court documents as well as collecting and disbursing all monies as directed by legal mandates. The knowledgeable staff in the Clerk of Court’s office strives to provide competent customer service, communications and community outreach.
The Clerk of Court works to protect the integrity of public records and public funds. The Clerk receives, manages, and processes all court documents; collects and disburses all court fees, fines, and costs; and provides the public with access to court records.
As keeper of public records, the Clerk’s office records deeds, mortgages, charters, and notaries public. In effect, the office of the Clerk of Court runs the “business arm” of the local court system, answering first and foremost to the public to ensure the interest of Troup County residents comes first.
Ms. Taylor has served as the Clerk of Superior & State Courts of Troup County since 2000. She has completed the Superior Court Clerk's Certificate Program from the University of Georgia and various continuing education programs from LaGrange and Columbus colleges.
